“Levels”
A melding of two passions, horses and blacksmithy, this steel sculpture captures the unique emotion and character of the Arabian. Seemingly floating in midair it is majestically poised over its horseshoe base. Graceful lines and layering entrance you as the light plays and shadows fall. Each angle gives you a deeper look into the Arabian soul.

Jason Hargrove Biography:
I
was born in rural Graves County, KY. During high school I was president of the
Art Club and placed second with a pen and ink in the State Fair.
After
graduation I obtained a degree in Graphic Design/Desktop Publishing at WKT. I
went on to intern at a web hosting company and take art and foreign language
classes at MSU. All the while, I
pursued
my pen and ink drawings, wood carvings, and gauche paintings and won awards at
Mayfield Art Guild shows.
During
this time I met my future wife and she introduced me to
the Arabian horses her family raised. I became hooked.

After a few years of riding
my intrigue for the skill and artistry of Farrier work overtook me. In the
summer of ‘99 I attended Tennessee State Blacksmith and Farrier School and
became a certified Farrier. With my Blacksmith
skills
came visions of steel sculptures. God willing, I plan to continue creating many
more pieces using each of my favorite mediums.
