The following data was obtained from my records in which I have documented specific items on straight and imported Spanish Arabians that I have video taped. There are over twenty columns of information on each horse that I can sort into various reports. A sampling of data recorded for these horses yields the following study:

* For the 34 Spanish stallions in the database, they have sired 2,931 Registered foals. These 34 stallions are the grand-sire of 7,218 registered foals.

*You will find these 34 stallions in the pedigrees of 12,179 different Arabian horses.

* Of the 50 Spanish mares that I have in the database, they have produced 300 registered foals. They are also the grand-dams of 1,763 registered Arabians.

* You will find these 50 mares in the pedigrees of 2,030 different Arabian horses.

* Combined, the Spanish stallions and mares have produced 3,199 progeny, 8,980 grand babies and are found in the pedigrees of 12,179 purebred registered Arabian horses by the second generation.

The top-ten leading stallions (in number of registered purebred progeny) as of 1/01/97 are:
